How long do I have to wait until I can file for bankruptcy again?

The waiting period depends on which chapter you filed before and under which chapter you want to file file now. Please note one important thing, the waiting periods does not describe the time you have to wait to file for bankruptcy, it tells you how long you have to wait with filing a bankruptcy case in which you will receive a discharge. There are often situations in which a discharge is not necessary, for example in order to stop a foreclosure, repossession or garnishment.
